National Lampoon’s 2011 Bracy Vacation, part 2

After saying our goodbyes in San Diego, we drove north to spend my birthday in Los Angeles, Hollywood to be more specific. I had forgotten how much fun it was driving in the LA area as it took us about 25 minutes to travel the last 6 miles.

One of the first “sites” we saw after we got off the freeway was at the corner of Sunset and L. Ron Hubbard. Yep, you guessed, The Church of Scientology: Hollywood version. Needless to say, this was a big hit with Stace.

Once we finally arrived in Hollywood, we turned into Joe Tourist and Family. We went to Grauman’s Chinese Theater to check out the hand/footprints of the stars, The Kodak Theater to try and sneak into the final 10 of American Idol and walked along Hollywood Blvd checking out the Walk of Fame.

We capped off the day with a trip down Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills and dinner at Bubba Gumps on Santa Monica pier.

All told, it was THE BEST birthday I have ever had. I got to spend the entire day with my family! Thank you Stace!
