Halfway home at the Not-the-Fake Masters Pool 2016

We are halfway home at the Masters, although Rickie Fowler may have dragged some folks all the way home for the weekend due to his poor play, However keep in mind, this is the Masters and anything can happen with moving day looming ahead of us. Jordan Spieth and Rory McIroy, aka, the ususal suspects are leading the way in Augusta but watch out for Hideki Matsuyama, Dustin Johnson and world #1, Jason Day, all within striking distance.

In the NtFMP we’ve got a rookie at the top, Abe Deffenbaugh Walsh, who leads the Spiegel, Johnson & Farley law firm by 6 heading into Saturday’s third round. How will the rookie handle all the attention  that goes with leading the NtFMP? Only time will tell but history tells us newcomers don’t hold up too well under the bright lights of the NtFMP, am I right Eric Fuller?

Last years champion, Harry Wonham is lurking only 7 spots back and no one knows how to put a team together for this course better than Mr. Wonham. In reality, anyone can still win this tournament, well almost anyone Bradford Parsons (you’ve got some real work to do) and everyone knows the Masters doesn’t really start till the back nine on Sunday.

Good luck to all this weekend!

2016 Not-the-Fake Masters Pool, aka, Annual $5 Donation to a Worthless Cause

logo masters
Expecting a big profit from your March Madness win and not sure what to do with it, now you can re-invest $5 of it, thereby delaying taxes and enter the 2016 Masters Pool.
The rules are simple: pick any 8 golfers who are entered in this weeks tournament and a winning score (-10 for example) in case of a tie. Next Sunday night I’ll add up their combined placing (1 pt for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, etc) and the person with the lowest combined team total wins. As we all know, there is no “I” in team, oh wait, yes there is. It’s just hidden in the A-hole, but never-the-less you really want all your guys to make the cut. Of course picking the winner helps but probably more important that all your guys play well.

***Special Bonus – For the second year in a row, I am allowing, even encouraging, everyone to pick Mr. Eldrick “Tiger” Woods.

Good luck and picks are due by Wednesday at midnight. Send picks to me at webracy@gmail.com or message me via FB and send $5 entry fee to me at 1103 Risden Pl., Eugene, Or 97404.
